Axl Wave (Showcase Ver.)
Hey!
Thank you for stopping by to take a look at my ongoing project Axl Wave. It's a 2D momentum platformer all about building up speed and keeping that top speed for as long as possible. Navigate and master levels and your abilities to string together sequences of freeform flow-like movement.
Normal Controls
Navigating Menus - [ Mouse & Left Click ]
Move Left & Right - [ A / D ]
Jump - [ Space ]
Wall Jump - [ Space ] (when touching a wall)
Slide - [ S ]
Air Parry - [ Space ] (when above & on top of an enemy)
Boost - [ Left Shift ] (when the meter has filled up blue)
Check/Interact - [ E ]
Boost State Controls
(AKA the things you can do once you're already boosting)
Brake Stab - [ Left Shift ] (while holding no direction), you can then JUMP or BOOST once on the ground
Burst Jump - [ Space ] (while grounded & in the Brake Stab state)
Grind - (Be on top of a light blue rail while in the boost state)
Air Dash - [ Left Shift ] (while holding forward & in the air)
Kick Jump - (while in the Air Dash state, come in contact with a wall), you can then BOOST or BRAKE STAB as you rise
Auto-Wall Jump - (Wall jumps will be performed automatically if you are in the boost state)
Last Things to Note
This build has one level in it so far. You have two objectives in the level, and both involve collecting items. The details of these can be found in the TODO section in the opening screen. There are Seven items total. Once these have all been collected, you've experienced what the game has to offer so far.
To Reset Back to Title, you can press [ Backspace ]
